Wow. Thanks for the quick response. I’m definitely bummed to hear about the dog urine as that would definitely be a problem for us. I have KY Bluegrass right now and was looking for a better option. Thanks anyway!

Hi Tyler! It’s actually doing fine, we hardly mow it ever, but dog urine does leave burn spots. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a drought tolerant lawn either. I’d say its main benefit is it’s low height. Unfortunately, we’re not carrying this variety anymore because customers were having too many issues with it (rust and growing taller than the max height!). I’m planning to install the UC Verde in my yard in the next month or so. The development of a medium water use turfgrass is such a great development for California. I am an irrigation designer, so I can truly appreciate the lower water use combined with an attractive lawn. I’m excited to try it.

Happy to connect with someone across the world! I have a Great Aunt who lives there that I’ve seen maybe about half a dozen times in my entire life haha
